Indigo Girls - "Closer To Fine"

I have a spiritual experience--and a renewed sense of connection
to what's right about humanity--every time I hear this incredibly moving
song. Love the Girls from way back, when they were outspoken before
it was as fashionable, and this is probably my fave song.

It has been inspiration and peace-maker for over 20 years.

It helps to not only know that there are others on the planet now who
understand....but there always have been.

Sometimes when the darkness beckons, the pull is strong and the
encouragement to defend against it is weak. Now is such a time.

I feel deflated and demoralized.
People are a disappointment.
Love is an illusion.
Life is drudgery.

But just for a minute, I'd like to believe in something 'more.'
Possibility. Better days.

So I turn to music, and at least for a moment, can imagine.
